How To Take Care Of Your Skin After Holi

Holi is a festival of colors which is one of the most popular festivals in India. Like many other festivals, holi is also emblematic of the triumph of good over evil. It is a celebration with colors and should be enjoyed with the natural colors only. With the increase in usage of chemicals to make the cheap colors, it is harming your skin. Hope you would have enjoyed the Holi to the fullest.

Taking various precautions before the Holi is a good habit, but not enough. It is equally important to take various steps to keep your skin healthy post Holi.

Due to various chemicals used in the colors, your skin will get dull and you will feel dried skin on your face and hands. Take up a bowl and add 3-5 spoon of milk in it. Now add 2-3 spoon of Turmeric Powder in it. Turmeric powder is one of the best naturally available antiseptic. It had been used since decades for all types of skin problems.

Add about half a glass of lukewarm water to it. Mix it well and make up a smooth paste of it. Now apply this paste on your skin and let it dry for about 15 minutes. Now wash it with lukewarm clean water. This will give a glow on your damaged skin and will help to recover and gain the soft and smooth skin. Do it twice a day for next 2-3 days after the Holi and make you skin glow like before.

Now to keep your hands and feet same dip those in lukewarm water for some time after you have washed out the colors. Apply rose water or olive oil very gently on your hands and legs. Now gently rub your hands and legs. After they dry for about 15-20 minutes wash them with clean water.

This will reduce the effect of the harmful colors on your skin and help you get your glowing skin back.
