Jee main 2016 Admit Card,Examination center and result

JEE stands for Joint Entrance Examination which is conducted in two phases by C.B.S.E. The first phase is JEE Mains 2016 and the other one is JEE Advanced. This examination is conducted every year for the students aspiring to get admissions in prestigious IIT’s (Indian Institute of Technology), NIT’s (National Institute of Technology), ISM (Indian School of Science), and IIIT’s (Indian Institute of Information Technology). Students clearing JEE Mains examinations are qualified to get admission in NIT’s, IIIT’s and GFTI’s and students who are able to clear the second stage of JEE (JEE Advance) are eligible to get admissions in IIT’s and ISM’s. 12 Lakhs students have registered for JEE Mains 2016 among which top 2 Lakhs students will be eligible to appear for JEE Advance examination.

JEE Mains 2016 will be conducted in two different modes, Online and Offline modes. Offline JEE Mains 2016 examination will be held on 3rd April 2016 at various centres in around 125 cities all over the India and the online mode of this examination will be held on 9th and 10th April.

Selection Procedure –

Candidates will be selected strictly on the merit basis which will be prepared considering both the normalized marks of Class 12th and All India ranks calculated using JEE Mains 2016 marks in the ratio of 40:60.

Eligibility Criteria –

• Candidate must have passed class 12th or any equivalent qualifying examination this year or 2014 & 2015
• Candidate must have at least five subjects in his class 12th or equivalent examination.
• Candidate can appear for JEE Mains for maximum three times in his lifetime
Examination Pattern –
• JEE Mains 2016 part 1 paper would consist 30 questions each from physics, mathematics and chemistry carrying 4 marks for every correct answer and -1 mark for every wrong answer
JEE Mains 2016 part 2 paper would consist questions from Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Drawing Test

Examination Centres –

As the examination is conducted in online and offline modes throughout the nation, many authorized centres are set up for the examination in across 125 cities in India. Not only in India but JEE Mains 2016 examination will be also held in Kathmandu, Singapore, Bahrain, Dubai, Muscat, Riyadh and Sharjah. You can check your examination centres in your Admit Cards.

Admit Card –

Admit Card, also sometimes called as Hall Ticket, for all the candidates appeared for the examination has been made available on the official website ( of JEE Mains from 10th March. You need to log onto the website to download your admit card by giving your Application Number and Password.

JEE Mains 2016 Results –

It is expected that the results for the examination will be made available online at the website publically on 27th April. So all the appearing candidates will have to be updated with the website to get their JEE Mains result
