No “phew!”, only “thoo!”
“Mastizaade” is a distasteful and disgusting cinema that is a grand tapestry of foolish jokes and a cliched story-line. The only plus here is that you get to see dhai-dhai-dhai-dhai kilo k in place of dhai-dhai kilo k because two Sunnys are herein.
I am really not much interested in writing about its plot. Just know that two friends fall, Tushaar and Vir, fall for two twins with equal-sized assets.
Rest you get to see sexuality, sleaze and stupidity.
Story, Screenplay and Direction
The story is tad boring and screenplay has jokes that are absurd.
You wanna see a donkey’s that? yukk!
Milap Zaveri, who had written the below-average “Grand Masti”, leaves no effort to decline his bar as a director.
Sunny Leone had proved to be quite an actress in “Ragini MMS2” and “Ek Paheli Leela” but here she doesn’t pack a punch. What she offers perfectly that I have been watching since 2010, more perfectly; I guess.
Vir Das is fine but Tushaar irritates,
Music and Other Technical Aspects
Amaal Malik’s and Anand Raj Anand’s music is lukewarm. Nothing to shout about.
Sanjay F. Gupta’s cinematography is good.
A film with 381 cuts suffers on account of editing.
Sau Baat Ki Ek Baat
The film will do above-average at the box-office but I am going with a 0.5/5 for this boring affair.
