PM Narendra Modi ji adopted a village in Varanasi

Honorable PM Narendra Modi ji has adopted a village Nagepur, a village dominated by backward castes, in his constituency of Varanasi in the second phase of Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana , under the first phase of Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana , the PM had adopted Jayapur village in Sevapuri Assembly segment of Varanasi.

According to a local bjp leader Nagepur is more backward in terms of development than what Jayapur was before it was adopted in 2014. Various development works have been done in Jayapur by government and non-government agencies in the last one-and-a-half years.

Varanasi Chief Development Officer Vishakh G said district officials have been asked to submit a primary survey report of Nagepur by March 20. A village development plan will be drafted later. The population of the village is nearly 3,200 . Most people are from backward castes. Almost all villagers are either farmers or labourers , there is a new ray of hope for the villagers .

Hope someday every Indian village gets such development opportunities . village and agriculture are backbone of Indian development so such Yojanas can be very helpful in Indian development .
